BC NDP Candidate For Kelowna-Mission
Harpreet is a registered health and safety professional and a devoted family member. Renowned for his ability to build strong workplace relationships, Harpreet earns high respect from both employers and employees. Harpreet and his wife Jade, who is both his best friend and a supportive partner, have made Kelowna their home since 2016. Together they have two wonderful children: daughter Jaysheen, who received “Student of the Year” award from Okanagan Mission Secondary (OKM) and is now in her second year at UBC Vancouver, preparing for medical school; and their son Sermour, who will be starting grade 8 at Canyon Falls Middle School this fall.
The Leadership Kelowna-Mission Needs Right Now
Vision and Values
Harpreet is deeply grateful to live in such a beautiful part of the world, surrounded by people filled with love and hope. Harpreet recognizes the complex challenges that Kelowna faces as a rapidly growing community. He is dedicated to tackling issues related to housing affordability and ensuring our healthcare system is strengthened so that people get care when they need it.
Inspired by his Sikh faith, Harpreet aims to dedicate the rest of his life to public service, a commitment he refers to as Sewa, meaning selfless service. Driven by a deep love for all humanity, Harpreet eagerly connects with everyone and is a strong believer in the power of dialogue to address and resolve issues.
Eager to collaborate with David Eby’s BC NDP team, he is committed to ensuring that essential services in Kelowna are accessible to everyone. Harpreet wants to help this region adopt new strategies for a long sustainable economic future; while listening, learning, and collecting feedback and information toward possible short-term solutions.
Harpreet is dedicated to carrying forward the progress initiated by the BC NDP government for the Kelowna region. Our government has made huge investments in the Kelowna region in education, healthcare, seniors care, agriculture, housing, and more. Harpreet is consistently engaging with the local community to grasp the needs and aspirations of the people in the Kelowna-Mission area.
